How to Become A Solutionist

By: Terry Burgess, America’s Mid-life Coach for Men with Upward MC

One of the best ways to eliminate negativity from creeping in your life is to learn the practice of becoming a solutionist. Often when we are faced with problems or challenges that bring negativity into our lives we may spend a great deal of time griping or wallowing in a negative attitude response.

However, if you are trying to bring more positivity to your live instead of spending time with a negative response, ask yourself the following question; “What opportunities does this problem/challenge bring to me?” You then need to write down all possible opportunities, solutions and action steps you can take to convert the problem/challenge in to a workable solution to still reach your ultimate outcome.

This is process of becoming a solutionist. You will find over repeated use of this process more positivity brought into your life.  You may also find new avenues of successful ideas and ventures due to the solutionist process which may become new products or solutions for other problems.

I have personally used this method for several years.  My success and attitudes have been improving each time I use the process.
